Your chassis code is the quickest way to pick the right manual. On a Mercedes-Benz VIN, the 4th to 6th characters give the model series: for example, a VIN beginning WDC166… is a W166 M-Class or GLE, and WDC253… is an X253 GLC.

Yes. ML is the badge used on the M-Class, and both cover the W163, W164 and W166 generations. You will find the same generations in both categories, so use whichever name your car carries.
